Artists and Projects

Abir Boukhari is a curator and the co-founder of AllArtNow, an independent collective space for contemporary art that was established in Damascus, Syria and has since 2012 operated in a nomadic way, collaborating with various institutions around the world.

In 2019, AllArtNow Lab opened a project space in Stockholm where topics on mobility, displacement and exile is explored through collaborations. Today she is also running the studio Extension Art Space.

Abir was invited to Residence Botkyrka in 2016 and spent six months in Fittja. She has since contributed to Residence Botkyrka’s and Botkyrka konsthall’s programme through a variety of projects and exhibitions.

Merve Gül Özokcu was invited to share her research and practice in connection to the exhibition Unfinished Histories and The Fittja Kitchen Cookbook in collaboration with Abir Boukhari, Anneli Bäckman and the group Kvinna för Kvinna framåt i Fittja. The ongoing research project Women Narrative Spaces was presented at the Archive in Botkyrka Konsthall.

Zahra Moein was in Residence Botkyrka during April 2023, part of a collaboration with Extension Art Space where she presented the performance work Notes of Vulnerability and Braveness.

Helsinki based artists Egle Oddo and Timo Tuhkanen together with their son Aldo Oddo Tuhkanen have been invited to the Creative Home Residency programme in 2023-2024. A collaboration between Residence Botkyrka and AllArtNow.
