about the residency

Šelda Puķīte and Indrek Grigor are the third artist family in residence within the Creative Home Residency program.

The curator duo will present an excerpt from their long-term, open-ended research project Silver Girls at AllArtNow. The project is dedicated to highlighting the legacy of early women photographers from the Baltic region. Evolving organically through collaborations, exhibitions, and various events, Silver Girls continues to grow as new material is explored and uncovered. The project seeks to shed light on the often-overlooked contributions of women to the history of Baltic photography.

At AllArtNow, the curators will present the legacies of two “silver girls”: Latvian photographers Anna Kukk (1885–1960) and Marta Pļaviņa (1896–1959).
