Uncertainties is a theme that marks our present times. Worries and thoughts on what is considered right or wrong, not knowing what is true and false, all the challenges that the world is facing, and a feeling of insecurity in relation to oneself and others.
Junior Residence exhibition is presenting six young artists whose works are based on their experiences and thoughts concerning uncertainties.
Linn Yu Bergström, Sara Husseini, Sara Abed Jaser, Luis Antonio, Hernandes Valencia, Jamie Langkjär and Lina Alhassani.
Junior Residence is a three-week residency for young creatives based in Botkyrka, who get the opportunity to explore, experiment and create their own collective art project. Guided by art educators Kerstin Gezelius and Saadia Hussain.
Youths aged 15-18 can apply for a paid summer job through the municipality’s recruitment agency, and through a process of interviews, a group of 6 individuals are selected for the residency. Artistic leaders and pedagogues are: Saadia Hussain and Kerstin Gezelius.
Junior Residence is a collaboration between the Multicultural Centre and Botkyrka Konsthall. Residence Botkyrka is supported by Botkyrkabyggen.
