Riksa Afiaty (b. 1986) is a curator and artist based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and is currently Head of Program at the Indonesian Visual Art Archive (IVAA). Through her work at IVAA, she has contributed to discussions on how archives and curatorial methods can be challenged and reconfigured to highlight marginalized voices and complex historical narratives.
She has a strong understanding of curatorial work that engages decolonial perspectives and artistic practices that reconsider questions of knowledge, archives, power, and the role of institutions, both locally and globally.
Between 2011 and 2016, she was a member of the Jakarta-based artist collective ruangrupa.
