Dr Temi Odumosu is an art historian and curator whose bridging practice between research and the curatorial engages in memory work, excavate archives, and challenge distorted images. Her artistic research approaches ethics of care in the digital cultural commons.
Temi Odumosu was first invited to the residency programme in 2016 when she was based in Copenhagen, as part of the Developing Nordic Cities programme, supported by Nordic Culture Point. During her residency she invited to a silent lecture, Black Body Politics for 2016 – A Silent Lecture, held in Residence Botkyrka’s apartment.
Her research in the local archives resulted in the multimedia installation Milk & Honey, shown at Botkyrka Konsthall in 2017.

Milk & Honey was a research-based intervention and site-specific multimedia installation that explored how local heritage archives can activate global crosscurrents through themes of memory, identity, and belonging. The work was included in the exhibition Övergångar / Transitions as part of the 2016 edition of the New Biennial for Art & Architecture in Botkyrka.
In 2020, Temi Odumosu collaborated with Cecilia Germain on the exhibition The Dream Keeper, which was presented at Botkyrka Konsthall 2021.
The Dream Keeper
6 March – 21 August 2021
Botkyrka Konsthall
In this conversation between artist Cecilia Germain and curator Temi Odumosu, central themes and narratives in the exhibition The Dream Keeper are explored. What brought them together, and how did this particular exhibition come into being? We gain insight into the artistic process and the ideas that shape Cecilia’s practice, and are introduced to other artists and projects that have inspired both Cecilia and Temi. The conversation is in English.
The residency received funding from the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture. Residence Botkyrka is supported by Botkyrkabyggen.
